Leo Kogan was born in 1974. He studied at the Cooper Union in New York (1994-1997) and De Ateliers in Amsterdam (1997-1999).
“Over the years, my artwork has gone through sometimes radical transformations. I firmly believe in pure creativity based on no adherence to one style or genre, free of politics and concepts, and not confined to a box of any kind. In my view, a true artist is driven by intuition and takes leaps of faith when seeking to discover the unknown. Art is not just a means of illustrating or communicating ideas; it is a method of inquiry into life. My artwork has changed and evolved continuously over the past three decades to reflect these beliefs.”
